About Me

Hi my name is Victor Ellery after leaving military service in 2001 I moved into private law enforcement, in the time since I have worked both as a private body guard and running a small private security firm.
Last year I retired my original police dog after 7 years of faithful service. In those 7 years working with my dog every day, 8 – 10 hours a day, I learn’t a great deal about what was required in a real world police dog and so I set out on the journey of acquiring a replacement dog with a heck of a lot more experience and much higher expectations than when I bought my first : )
Going through the process of buying a new patrol dog was both very rewarding in the additional experiences, people I met and knowledge I gathered along the way but also quite frustrating at times in the number of dead ends and more importantly in the inaccurate advice that was being dispensed by self proclaimed experts and even professional guard dog trainers providing “attack dog training”
The whole experience motivated me to document some of the great tips I gathered along the way in the hope that others will have it much easier.
I hope you enjoy this review of my experiences here on attackdogtraining.net
